With a whopping rise in human trafficking, where men, women, and children are being exploited for their organs, there is one more addition and that is commercial surrogacy. Surrogacy, which is an act of altruism is being misused for earning money and the child-bearing mother is being exploited.

There are many ethical issues which are pertaining from this, like what should be the minimum benchmark for paying the compensation to the surrogate mother and also her life insurance needs to be covered. Another issue could be that if a physically challenged child is born, then the couple seeking a child should take its custody. Also, there should be no sex determination of the child prior to its birth. There should be a capping on the number of children that a surrogate mother can give birth to. If the couple seeking child by any chance get divorced, who will take the custody?
The government should enforce strict laws with immediate action.
