Patriarchy,a form of social organization in which a male is the family head and title is traced through the male line, has always played suppressor role in the socio-economic development of women.

Discriminating ideology which is based on eternal beliefs does not treat women equally. For example female workers and labors does not get wages as their male counterparts gets.

Male dominated society which believes in dual responsibility of women where she has to take care of regular house chore, nurturing of children along with job.

Patriarchy also creates several stereotypes which place additional burdens and restrictions on women, in terms of mobility and social life. Middle class women are often forced to comprise with their professional life. Also,The life of a middle class women is linked inextricably with her husband/family, such that, it becomes an impediment to the growth and development of their professional life.

Patriarchial society gives emphasis to the role of male member of the family. In the middle class families even after the employment, women are considered inferior to the male counterparts. The father, brother or husband is the decision maker of the family and the women are treated only as a subordinate to them. The career choice made by them is a subject of approval by whole family.

Working woman in the middle class family have a dual responsibilities from working in the offices to her responsibility as a home maker. They are less financially independent. They don’t have the freedom to select the groom of their choice and the marriage is caste specific arranged one. Also, if they earn more than their husbands they often have to face the domestic violence and sexual harassment at the work place.

To make women empower and bring the confidence in them, women should be fairly treated as their male counterparts.

good points about your answer – word limit is maintained (156 words). Use of simple and easy to understand language. It is better for urself. The reason I emphasize on maintaining word limit is that, you will not be able to complete the whole paper if you exceed the word limit. So always concentrate on word limit. All the best.
